November 2022 Dividend Income

Hello and welcome to my November dividend income post. Can’t believe it’s now December and the last month in 2022. I received dividends from 9 stocks and they paid me $644.71 an increase of 28% compared to last November. Here is the income per account:

  • TFSA $354.48
  • RRSP $290.23

If you’re new to my site my TFSA has all Canadian stocks and my RRSP is made up of one Canadian stock and the rest US stocks. That being said the majority of the dividend income in my RRSP is in US dollars. For simplicity for the site I just mark all the income as Canadian.

Month to Month Dividends

Dividends Received Per Year

I have now surpassed 2021’s dividend total and should easily pass 2022’s total as well.

2022 Dividend Goal

With just one month left in the year I am $900.86 away from reaching my goal. I received $904 in September so I’m thinking I should be able to exceed my goal a little bit.

Dividend Increases

The portfolio received five raises this month.

  • Telus increased their dividend 3.7% to $0.3511 per share up from $0.3386.
  • Equitable Bank raised their dividend 7% to $0.33 per share up from $0.31.
  • Alimentation Couche-Tard raised their dividend 27.3% to $0.14 per share up from $0.11

Stock Purchases

I made a couple of transaction this month the first was I sold 459 shares of Chorus Aviation, this stock was my smallest holding I decided to sell the majority of my shares and put the cash into a better stock.

  • Equitable Bank 23 shares
  • Fortis 0.7840
  • XAW ETF 6.184 shares

So the money from the sale I put into Equitable Bank, I believe this stock has a better future. I had a tiny bit of money left over so I threw the cash into a fractional share purchase of Fortis.

Thanks for reading!
