Welcome to my April dividend post. The markets might be in turmoil and I might be down by a few thousand bucks from a portfolio standpoint but the dividends continue to roll in. Speaking of the markets I’m not to concerned with what’s going on, I am currently invested in quality stocks and I’m looking to be able to buy at these lower prices.

I received dividend payments from 10 stocks from two of my investment accounts. I received a total of $646.42 this month. The income per account is as follows:

  • TFSA $368.58
  • RRSP $277.84

If you’re new to my site my TFSA has all Canadian stocks and my RRSP is made up of one Canadian stock and the rest US stocks. That being said the majority of the dividend income in my RRSP is in US dollars. For simplicity for the site I just mark is Canadian.

Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA)

TC Energy$41.76$68.87
Power Corp$49.67$60.39
Go Easy Ltd.$20.46$31.85
Alimentation Couche-Tard$5.78$11.35
Bank of Nova Scotia$109.80
The Keg Royalties Income Fund$10.75
iShares S&P/TSX Capped REIT Index ETF$29.71

It was a good month for my TFSA every stock I hold sent me more money which is always great to receive, this was done either through increased dividend payments or through buying more shares within the last 12 months.

Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)

Altria Group$120.40$129.60
Algonquin Power & Utilities$77.55$110.29
Merck & Co.$35.75$37.95

Not much activity in this account as just three stocks made me in April. Although there is one big difference Algonquin Power & Utilities is now getting converted into Canadian dollars.
