Dividend Increases 7 & 8 of 2021

Hi everyone, this week I received a couple of dividend increases and wanted to share them with you. These raises weren’t a surprise as both companies have been raising for several consecutive years now. The first raise came from Home Depot.

Home Depot (ticker: HD) came through for investors on Tuesday with a 10% raise to its dividend. The company will now pay a quarterly dividend of $1.65 up from $1.50. The new dividend will take effect with the March 25th payment to shareholders of record of March 11th.

I currently own 23 shares and with this raise my quarterly dividend income will increase by $3.45 and annually by $13.80.

The raise I received on Thursday night after the markets closed and that came from Aecon.

On Thursday night Aecon (ticker: ARE) announced their year-end 2020 results, and in that announcement they said they will be increasing their dividend by 9.3%. This marks the ninth year in the last ten that Aecon has raised their dividend. The new dividend will be paid quarterly at $0.175 per share up from $0.16. The new dividend will take effect with the April 5th payment to shareholders of record of March 23rd.

I currently own 130 shares of the stock and my quarterly income will increase by $1.95 and annually by $7.80.
