Hi everyone it’s been a couple weeks since my last post and I thought I would provide a small update on what I’ve been doing in October. October has been a quiet month for me I’ve made two purchases which I will mention below. Since I have maxed out my Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA) I can’t put any new money in until January so I put the dividend money I receive to work right away if possible. Having said that I will probably start having these monthly wrap up posts from now on. I don’t think it makes a lot of sense to right a post about buying two or three shares of a stock.
So as mentioned above I made two purchases both in my TFSA account in October and both were for the same stock Telus.

October 2nd
My first purchase was on October 2nd and I bought 13 shares @ $23.44 per share.
October 22nd
My second purchase happened on the 22nd when I added another 5 shares @ $23.56 per share
Telus currently pays a quarterly dividend of $0.29125, so these 18 shares will provide me $5.24 in quarterly income and $20.96 annually. I’m currently looking to add another 25 shares of Telus in my TFSA account.
How was your October?
Thanks for reading!
Matthew
Good job Matthew !! 👏 Extra forward dividends !! 🙌💲💰 I like this !! I made some purchases myself too for extra dividend income with the recent volatility that we have on the stock market!

Great to see you slowly inching towards a greater fulfillment in retirement! This month the stock market in my country has gone to an all time low, time to buy some REITs but sadly have used up my spending cash… ):
Nevertheless, good job in reinvesting your dividends Matthew!

I first bought Telus in 2008 during the financial crisis for our taxable portfolio. Since then I’ve been happy with my purchase.
Just keep adding to your favourite equities Matthew. Good to hear you’re doing fine with your investing.
