Howdy folks, today I’m going to share a dividend raise with you. On March 16th the Board of Directors delivered on what they said they would do and raised the dividend of Power Corp by 10%. This was first announced back in December when Power Corp made in offer to buy the remaining shares they didn’t own of Power Financial, during that announcement they said if Power Financials shareholders accepted the deal than the dividend would be raised by 10%. In February the shareholders approved the merger.
Power Corp pays a quarterly dividend that will now increase to $0.4475 up from $0.405 per share. I currently own 236 shares and with this announcement my quarterly income will increase by $10.03 and annually by $40.12.
