April 2016 Income

Hello everybody I hope everyone had an excellent April collecting dividends. 2016 is really flying by I can’t believe we are into May already. April was another quiet month for me, I made zero purchases and I did not sell any of my stocks. April was another great month for my portfolio I received a total of $346.87 last year I had received $288.69 so I increased my income $58.18.

My portfolio consists of two accounts Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA) and Registered Retirement Savings Account (RRSP). For my TFSA in April I received $81.74. For my RRSP I received $265.13 in April.

Around the middle of April I decided to opt out of my DRIP for my stocks and to take my dividends in cash so I could increase my stock purchases, I was told that it would take a few days to complete this. In that time I received 8 new shares.

  1. Healthy sum for April dividends and nice increase too from last year. Nice to see so many unfamiliar names paying you. I always like to learn about new companies to potentially add to my own portfolios. For now, I'm sticking with the Canadian banks. Thanks for sharing.
